   264 JTJ Sebring Sprite
First registered on the 3rd June 1959, this Frogeye was modified by its first owner to 'Sebring' specification once out of warranty and raced successfully in the 1960’s with a 998cc – Formula Junior – engine.
It later returned to road use and gained a factory recon. 1275cc engine with big valve Cooper ‘S’ cylinder head and 1275 gearbox to match.
Over the years it has been further modified to keep it in top condition for road/ rally/ track-day use.
Please download the full specification here.
The full ownership history is known from new and I personally owned and ran this car from 2003 to 2007. Having driven many Frogeye Sprites over the years, this really is one of the very best; fast, safe, reliable. A lot of fun!

6106 RF
Still carrying the original (and valuable) registration from July 1960, this Frogeye has one of the best original and un-restored body shells we have seen for many years.
However as the quality of the previous paintwork did not quite match the standard of the shell, we have decided to strip it down for a top class re-spray.
We will re-trim it all (in black) and fit a pair of the correct Frogeye seats, so raising the standard of the whole car. The photos will be updated as soon as the work is finished.
With a modified and up-rated 1098cc engine with larger (1 ¼”) SU carbs, the performance is already faster than most, with a very healthy 80psi oil pressure.
Other extras include disc brakes; anti roll bar; electric washers; alloy rocker box and virtually new front bumper assembly. This frogeye also has a new hood and very good side screens.

8928 CR
Built in July 1960, this Frogeye comes with a very comprehensive history file of old invoices, MoT certificates, photos of it’s restoration in the early 1990’s, and two charming and informative letters from previous owners. In addition the Heritage Certificate shows it was originally sold via Carey & Lambert Ltd. in Southampton, whose enamel badge is still attached to the dashboard some 50 years later!
The professional restoration (about 20 years ago) was comprehensive and included new floors, inner and outer sills, A posts, rear wings and more. Although still solid, the paintwork is now looking ‘tired’ and although we were planning to strip it to a rolling shell, for inspection and re-spray in Old English White again, last year, we have simply been too busy with customer Frogeyes to do this, so have decided to sell her as she is.
Mechanically it has more recently been fitted with a ‘fast road’ 948cc engine with uprated camshaft, modified (and ‘unleaded’) cylinder head, lightened and balanced flywheel, larger (1 ¼”) SU carbs. & 3 branch exhaust manifold. Further upgrades include front disc brakes and wire wheels.
This is a much quicker than average Frogeye that will increase substantially in value with some time and ‘tlc’.

1958 Restoration Project
One owner since 1968. Un-used and dry stored since 1984! A real ‘time warp’ Frogeye.
The car is almost totally complete as last used on the road and still retains it's original factory seat, trim, steering wheel (rare) and red rubber mats (very rare!).
It is a genuine right hand drive UK car with V5 and old style log book and was first registered on the 13th November 1958. The original engine expired at 86,000 miles and was replaced with a gold Seal’ unit which is still in place.
Like many Frogeyes in the day, the dashboard gained some extra switches and dials including a period ‘remote oil check’  device.
The body naturally needs some attention, but is generally in much better shape than most of the ‘project’ cars we have seen. The bonnet is in grp and forward hinged to save weight and give excellent access for servicing.
